I thought I would take the opportunity to thank you for all the hard work you and the team have done over the last 18 months bringing www.SurreyReptileCentre.co.uk to life.

Little over a year ago we were ticking over with our ‘Reptile Department’ within our main stay business Pets & Supplies Ltd. Reptile products being one of a few specialist areas in our shop here at Sutton Green Garden Centre. We knew we were under performing.

Our initial meeting was fun and focused with plenty of meaningful discussion about what to do and not do, we didn’t feel as if we had to accept what you advised which enabled some deep conversations and to this day we still often choose to disagree. No arguments, no ill feelings just business choices which we made, supported 110% of the way by you and the team.

So, in summary it was decided to break the reptile division away from the main shop and market it separately, it’s a specialist product requiring specialist attention and a standalone website, Google My Business and the related local digital marketing!

With your help Surrey Reptile Centre as a brand was created with what we had at the time. For reference we processed approximately 135 transactions a month with a turnover circa £2,500.

So here we are little over a year later having launched our new website we have decided to increase our shop square footage 3-fold due to the level of enquiries and now instead of one part time staff member we have 3 associated with the department. Transactions have more than doubled to close on 300 per month, the average value has more than doubled and we are recording a growth year on year of 313% wow! That’s with Covid, wars and price increases across the board like those never seen before. The point I’m trying to make is this; in the face of all the doom and gloom, something I do well at! with the focused support of your business we have excelled and are proving that with effort in the right directions anything is possible even in these challenging times.
